The organizers of DaTE, the Italian designer eyewear show, report an increase of 40 percent in the number of visitors at its latest edition in Florence on Sept. 23-25. Most of the 3,500 trade visitors were Italians. They were able to check out the collections of 135 brands, the majority of which were not Italian and represented at the show by their export managers, their distributors or their agents. Lozza, Oxydo and some other high-end brands had a more private space allocated to them than the others. The location was a former railway station in the center of Florence, which offered more exhibition space that the show's former location in Milan and was more easily accessible from all parts of the country. The attractiveness of the city was bapparently a plus. The organizers have decided to keep the same location for the 6th edition of the fair, scheduled to take place on Sept. 22-24, 2018.
