The organizers of Mido, the international trade show starting in Milan tomorrow, have reported a 10 percent increase in the total exhibition space that has been rented out, as compared to last year. While others have pulled out, 150 companies will be new at the fair. As previously reported, the pavilions where the show will take place are now closer to the subway that links the fairgrounds with the city. The Fashion District and the Design Lab have been placed in Halls 1, 2 and 4. Within the Design Lab, a new LabAcademy will act as an “incubator of ideas,” hosting new designers. The layout of the exhibition has been redesigned to facilitate the navigation among the different halls, and to give more visibility to the products. Like in previous years, special free train connections have been established for Italian visitors from Rome and Venice on Sunday.
