The Prada group received €24.0 million in fees, paid on a quarterly basis, from Luxottica for the worldwide license agreement covering the Prada and Miu Miu brands during the fiscal year ended on Jan. 31, 2011. The Italian fashion group obtained €23.2 million in fees during the previous fiscal year and €27.7 million the year ended Jan 31, 2009. The deal started in 2003 and expires on Dec. 31, 2013. Luxottica has an option, to be exercised by Dec. 31, 2012, to renew it for five years until the end of 2018. The information was contained the prospectus that Prada released earlier this month for its initial public offering in Hong Kong.
