The Vision Council has appointed Nathan Troxell as director of industry development for Think About Your Eyes, the public awareness initiative focused on educating consumers in the U.S. about the importance of vision health and annual comprehensive eye exams, in partnership with the American Optometric Association. In his new role, Troxell will help grow the reputation of the initiative among industry partners and expand participation in and sponsorship of the campaign. Troxell has more than 15 years of combined optical industry experience, with extensive experience in international multi-channel consumer and B2B marketing communications. Most recently, he served as global marketing manager of specialty coatings and materials at PPG Industries. Prior to joining PPG, he led the development of digital marketing programs and the execution of omni-channel retail campaigns at American Eagle Outfitters.
