The Vision Council has received the 2015 Golden Quill Award for the media coverage received by its Digital Eye Strain report. It was released at the big International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the beginning of this year to raise awareness about the temporary discomfort experienced during prolonged use of digital devices, as fewer than one out of five Americans realize the problem, and to discuss the availability and use of computer eyewear. The Vision Council's efforts in this domain yielded more than 1,200 articles and 848.6 million media impressions – more than eight times the original target.
