This week's International Vision Expo West, being held Wednesday through Saturday in Las Vegas, has more of a focus on social media than in previous editions. Twelve hours of its conference courses look at social media and internet marketing, and meet-ups are scheduled so members of online forums can connect in person. The experts will show eye care professionals how to harness the internet for their practices, reviewing various websites and Facebook pages. A four-and-a-half hour session on Wednesday demonstrates how to capitalize on the new surge in mobile technology. Organizers will tweet live from the exhibitor floor as well as film event around the show to post on YouTube.
