Tipton, the Hungarian eyewear manufacturer that creates frames from vinyl records under the Vinilyze brand, has signed an interesting and original partnership with the rights holder of AC/DC, the famous Australian rock band. It is the first licensing deal for the Hungarian company and the first AC/DC merchandise in the eyewear category. The Vinylize x AC/DC collection is a tribute to Back in Black, the legendary album published by AC/DC in 1980 and one of the best sellers of all time. The collection includes three models produced in Budapest that all incorporate a portion of this record's vinyl on their face, as well as a chrome AC/DC lightning bolt on the temples. They are available as optical and sunglasses, come up with a luxury package and will retail at €449 at selected retailers, and on Vinylize and AC/DC's webshops. Founded in 1998 by Zachary Tipton, the company has about 500 accounts in Europe and North America.
