Toms Shoes is the American brand that is famous for its policy of giving away a free pair of shoes or to help someone in need of a prescription for his eyesight for each pair of shoes or glasses sold. The brand plans to separate the distribution for its eyewear and footwear line in Asia in the future. It wants to work with distributors specializing in one or the other sector. In this context, the brand signed a distribution agreement with Baum Vision at the beginning of August for the distribution of its optical line in Germany, France, the U.K., Austria, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Finland and Denmark. Deliveries were set to start in mid-October. After its launch in the U.S. three years ago, Toms' prescription frames and sunglasses are now sold to about 600 doors in the U.S., with 25-30 percent growth each year.
