Following the postponement of their 2021 edition to January 2022, the organizers of the London eyewear trade show announced the launch of 100% Optical Online, a digital event to take place on May 23 and 24. All members of the optical community will be able to access the virtual show on its opening day, whereas participation will be restricted to eyewear buyers and business owners on the second day. Already confirmed exhibitors include Hoya, Optos, the retinal imaging equipment company, and the Association of Optometrists that will deliver an educational program on various eyecare-related topics on May 23. The event will be hosted on Swapcard, an online platform where companies can showcase their products, schedule and hold meetings, stream contents or use the AI matchmaking tools among other options.
