The 8th edition of the eyewear trade show DaTE attracted 1,000 professionals and buyers. The event featured over 80 brands and was held Sept.19-21 at the Stazione Leopolda venue in Florence. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was the first European trade show for the eyewear industry this year and a digital version,, continues until the end of the year. The digital platform was created with the support of the Italian trade agency, ITA.

DaTE was part of a consortium of events organized by the Italian fashion industry and placed under the #strongertogether banner. The five other trade fairs were held in Milan and centered around Micam Milano, a leading footwear event. The five Milan-based trade shows overlapped over a five-day period running from Sept. 19 to 23 and hosted 16,000 buyers.
