The small Italian trade show DaTE will be held from Sept. 19 to 21 at the Stazione Leopolda venue in Florence. The organizers had previously indicated their intention to hold this year’s edition despite the Covid-19 health crisis.

DaTE states that it will be the first post-pandemic opportunity for industry professionals to meet in person. “With DaTE, we want to send a strong, positive message to the entire eyewear sector, in Italy and abroad, and to all of our stakeholders,” remarked DaTE’s president, Giovanni Vitaloni. Vitaloni is also president of the Italian association of eyewear manufacturers, Anfao and of the Milan-based trade show Mido, which is DaTE’s partner.

The show will be smaller than in past years but has received the support from the Italian trade agency, ITA, which will help in the digital launch of the show, attracting international buyers and holding online marketing events.
