Trenti, the Italian manufacturer of children's eyewear, has won the Silmo Golden Award in its category for the second year running, thanks to the special characteristics of its Lilliput model. Last year the award triggered extra sales of 50,000 units. A similar year-end bonus is anticipated this year. Considering that its order books are almost full, especially for the USA and Canada, Trenti is expecting to end 2002 with revenues up 25 percent to e14-15 million, with a likely similar performance in 2003. But Walter Da Rin, Trenti's owner, expects to return subsequently to the more normal annual range of of e11-12 million.
