Twenty-two retail companies that belong to Optic Society, a German buying and marketing group, have teamed up for a common social media and online marketing campaign called “Face Looks.” The affiliated opticians aim to launch joint promotions four times per year via, a recently created online platform through which interested customers can book appointments directly with the optician of their choice. The launch of new promotions on the platform is supported by Google Ads and other online marketing tools. The first promotion was posted this month. Optic Society also offers webinars for participating opticians and its employees. Optic Society's frame suppliers include Menrad, Charmant, Marcolin, Marchon, Safilo, MPG, Eschenbach and the Design Eyewear Group. Its lens suppliers include Hoya, Essilor and Seiko. Optic Society also sells its private brand of frames, lenses and contact lenses, called Luxos.
