Under a previously agreed plan, Giovanni Zoppas will concentrate on his role as chief executive and general manager of Thélios, the joint venture officially created between the Marcolin Group and LVMH in April 2018, in which the French luxury group has a 51 percent stake. Zoppas, who had been running Marcolin since 2012, had also taken responsibility for licensing, international development, human resources, legal affairs and institutional communication, mostly in order to avoid duplications of functions between the two companies. Marcolin will continue to operate under the leadership of Massimo Renon, a former executive of Luxottica, Ferrari and Safilo who became the company's commercial director in January 2017 and was promoted as its CEO in October of the same year.
