VidiVici Occhiali is launching a children's line of eyewear, called Exalt Cycle Kids, which is inspired to its Exaggerated line for adults. Meanwhile, the Italian company signed a few weeks ago a 3-year agreement for the design, production and distribution of the Sweet Year brand of sunglasses and prescription eyewear. Sweet Year is an Italian fashion brand for youngsters launched by two famous footballers, Paolo Maldini and Christian Vieri, through a company called Go Old. The brand has produced several collections of shirts, stamped with a small heart logo. A test collection of eyewear will be showcased at MIDO, with 3 prescription and 5 sunglass models, all with acetate frames, and the heart logo either engraved on the lenses or silkscreen-printed on the temples. Vidivici is budgeting revenues of €2 million from the new brand in 2007.
