The Italian eyewear manufacturer, based in Venice, launched at this month's Mido fair a new licensed high-end brand of eyewear, Gerani. It represents the 7th brand in Visibilia's portfolio, which already includes major fashion names such as Laura Biagiotti, Stefanel and Trussardi.

Visibilia has budgeted a 12 percent increase in sales to more than 58 billion lire (e30m-$25m) for the year ending on June 30, and it expects to maintain the same growth rate for the coming year. To help sustain its growth, the family-owned company is proceeding with and internal reorganization.

It has hired Orazio Romano and Andrea Ardissono, both formerly with Filos Group's United Optical. They will act respectively as sales and and marketing manager of Visibilia. Nerio Sanguin is the company's new financial manager.

Visibilia is made up of 3 separate joint-stock companies that come under the umbrella of the Mevorach family's holding comany. Visibilia Italia spa manufactures and distributes the group's products in Italy and in 60 countries worldwide. Visibilia Germania distributes the Moxxi brand and other lines by Visibilia on the German market. Visibilia Spagna is another distribution company for Spain. The group plans to open other foreign subsidiaries.
