As of Jan. 1, 2009, Visibilia is no longer the European distributor for the Kata and Judith Leiber brands of the U.S. firm Legacie. Just six months after the exclusive agreement between the two companies was signed, Cliff Robinson for Legacie and Dan Levi for Visibilia concluded that the experiment had been a disappointment, and put an end to the agreement. The two U.S. brands are now being distributed by another Italian firm, Moa Ottica, near Brescia.
The two brands owned by Legacie, the luxury division of New York-based B. Robinson, were meant to become the star products of a new division of the Italian company called Visibilia Luxury, specializing in European distribution of technically advanced luxury products. Prices were consequently high, and given the current international recession, Visibilia decided to put the project on hold and wait for better days.
