Vista Outdoor has recruited Kelly T. Grindle, a senior executive of Johnson Outdoors, to act as president of its outdoor products segment, comprising Camelbak and Jimmy Sykes as well as Bushnell and its various eyewear brands, including Bollé. He will take up his new functions on Jan. 4, reporting directly to Mark De Young, chairman and chief executive of Vista Outdoor. Grindle has been working for Johnson for 16 years, most recently as senior group vice president in charge of marine electronics, watercraft and diving. Meanwhile, Greg Kottenstette, who has worked for Bollé for 31 years, has been promoted to the position of North American sales manager for its outdoor and specialty business.
