Walter De Rigo died at the age of 76 on Jan. 1, victim of a heart attack. The son of a builder, he created, along with his brother Ennio, an industrial empire which spans from construction work, freezers and tourism to the eyewear company De Rigo Vision. The eyewear company was owned by the two brothers, with Ennio acting as its chairman. Walter De Rigo was a member of the Italian Senate from 2001 to 2006, representing the Forza Italia party of Silvio Berlusconi.
