While confirming the company's interest in the possible acquisition of a retail chain in the USA, officials of De Rigo indicate that they hope to conclude within the next few months a deal in the wholesale segment of the important US market, which for the moment makes up only 5 percent of the group's revenues. The weakness of the dollar and the prospect of a new licensing contract are favoring De Rigo in its negotiations. At the same time, the group is trying to boost its own Police brand by licensing it out in other product segments. Contrary an analyst's speculation reported in an internet portal, company executives indicate that the family of Ennio De Rigo has no plans to take the company out of the New York Stock Exchange. On the contrary, the Italian group still intends to seek a listing on the Milan Bourse as soon as the financial market shows signs of recovery.
