Christian Roméas, a well-known personality in the French eyewear sector, has resigned as president of SynOpe, the biggest association of independent opticians in France, which he helped to found in 2004 and which he has led for ten years. SynOpe groups voluntary chains such as Acuitis, Krys Group, Optic 2000 and Optissimo. A successor has not yet been named. Roméas explains his decision with the fact that he is no longer working as an optician since he has transferred his retail chain in the Loire region to his older daughter. He was for many years the president of the Guilde de Lunetiers, the holding company of Krys, Vision Originale and Vision Plus.
