Josef May, who runs Silhouette in Germany, was re-elected as chairman of Spectaris during the general meeting of the German eyewear industry association on Oct. 4. May has been chairman of Spectaris since 2007. André Schulte, chief executive of Weinmann Emergency Medical Technology, was re-elected as vice president of Spectaris. Ulrich Krauss, chairman of Analytik Jena, was elected for the first time as second vice-president, while Mathis Kuchejda, chief executive of Schmidt+Haensch, was re-elected as treasurer. Dr. Andreas Nitze, chief executive of Berliner Glas and former vice-president of Spectaris, left the management of Spectaris after working for the association for the last 10 years. Spectaris lends its services to about 400, mostly medium-sized businesses in Germany and abroad.
