Krys is once again the favorite optical shop in France, or so says a survey conducted by EY-Parthenon, a strategy consultancy related to Ernst & Young, the professional-services multinational headquartered in London. The firm polled about 7,000 consumers online, asking them to choose the best of 250 brands in 17 business sectors. The 11 criteria included price, value for the money, selection and service. Krys had a four-year run as the survey's top optical shop from 2012 to 2015, when the industry was dropped from contention. This year marks its return, with Krys taking up where it left off. In the overall list with all business sectors combined, Krys came in 19th. The top three companies, in order, were Décathlon, Leroy-Merlin and Fnac. Founded in 1966, Krys operates about 860 stores in France, France's overseas territories, Belgium and Morocco.
