Malcolm Polley, chief executive of the London-based Federation of Manufacturing Opticians (FMO), is to retire from his position. Polley took up this role in 2006. Kevin Gutsell, the former vice-president of ABDO, will take over his role at FMO, while continuing as director of Optrafair. The Federation of Manufacturing Opticians was first set up in 1917 and is the world's longest established optical trade body.
