Rupp + Hubrach, the German lens laboratory controlled by Essilor, has won the German Brand Award 2019 in the “excellent brands – trade, retail & e-commerce” category for a marketing campaign that it launched for its so-called “SiiA” progressive lenses. The German Brand Award is organized by the German Design Council and the German Brand Institute. Rupp + Hubrach won the award in 2017 as well. The marketing campaign for SiiA included a social media campaign with short videos. About 700,000 YouTube users saw the video, which was made with the collaboration of Andreas Kieling, the well-known German wildlife moviemaker. Since the campaign was launched in mid-March, a total of 45,000 people have opted for the SiiA lenses, the company said recently.
