Starting with the autumn 2019 selling season, all of Safilo's point-of-purchase marketing material, namely counter cards or show cards, will be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC certification ensures that items come from responsibly managed forests. Safilo added that it is working with its vendor partners to evaluate additional opportunities to support a circular economy aimed at minimizing waste and making the most of resources. Meanwhile, Safilo has chosen two Italian chefs, Enrico Bartolini and Andrea Berton, as brand ambassadors for the optical frames of its Safilo brand. The two Michelin-starred chefs will be promoting the spring/summer 2019 and autumn/winter 2019 collections. The pictures of the chefs wearing the glasses were used for the group's social networks and published in men's and lifestyle magazines such as Icon and Esquire.
