The Vision Council of the U.S. has appointed David Pierson to be the staff liaison with its recently created optical retail division, which already counts more than 30 retail companies of various sizes. It has elected James Rosin as vice chairman and Stuart Jolly as vice chairman of the division. Pierson has worked for more than 30 years in the retail sector in various leading roles with organizations such as the Refac Optical Group, CPI Corp., Cole National Corp., Federated Department Stores, Target and Sears. He was most recently the founder of a consultancy, J. David Optical Consultants. Rosin, who will also sit on the Vision Council's board of directors, is co-president of Rosin Eyecare, a chain of 44 optical retail stores. Jolly is a member of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians who currently serves as senior director at the Sam's Club, overseeing more than 500 membership-based optical centers managed by Walmart in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and advising on operations in Canada and China. He has been a U.S. resident since 2014.
